Hyderabad: The Congress party celebrated its Congress municipal victory at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday as results of the Telangana municipal elections showed the party moving towards a decisive win.
Party workers gathered at the headquarters soon after the announcement of results. They waved party flags and raised slogans to mark the municipal victory. The premises echoed with chants in support of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Leaders and workers jointly cut a cake to mark the municipal victory. They burst firecrackers and distributed sweets among themselves. The celebrations continued as more results confirmed the party’s strong performance across municipalities.
Congress municipal victory draws praise for leadership
On the occasion, party ranks credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud for the Congress municipal victory. They said the party had strengthened its base in Telangana under their leadership.
Workers also acknowledged the guidance of the national leadership. They said the Congress municipal victory reflected public faith in the party’s direction at both the state and national levels.
