HYDERABAD: The Congress high command has issued a show cause notice to Ravi Srinivas, the Sirpur Kagaznagar Congress in-charge, following complaints about his recent remarks against party leaders and alleged anti-party activities.
The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s (TPCC) Disciplinary Action Committee received multiple complaints from party members regarding Srinivas’s conduct. Allegations include his public criticism of Minister Sitakka during a media conference and working against the party’s official candidate in the recent Graduate MLC elections. Additionally, he has been accused of making severe comments against the District Congress Committee (DCC) leadership and not participating in party programs.
In the notice, the Disciplinary Committee stated: “The Disciplinary Action Committee, TPCC, has received complaints from Congress party workers regarding your anti-party activities. You criticized the district in-charge minister in a media conference. Additionally, in the recent Graduate MLC elections, you worked against the official INC party candidate. You made severe comments against the DCC leadership and did not participate in party programs.”
Srinivas has been directed to provide an explanation by March 28, 2025. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in stringent action as per the party’s rules and policies. This development follows the recent suspension of MLC Teenmaar Mallanna for similar disciplinary violations.
