Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited Medaram on Monday as part of the second day of his tour and offered prayers to the tribal deities Sammakka and Saralamma.
Along with Ministers, the Chief Minister inaugurated the modernised Sammakka-Saralamma Gaddelu, developed at a cost of about ₹101 crore. At the same time, he inaugurated a newly constructed pylon at the shrine. These works aimed to improve pilgrim facilities and preserve tribal traditions.

Medaram visit concludes before Davos tour
As part of his vows, the Chief Minister offered 68 kilograms of jaggery, equal to his body weight, to the deities. On the occasion, he said the government planned to organise the Medaram Jatara on a grand scale. Further, he said the arrangements would reflect the spirit of tribal culture, similar to the Kumbh Mela.
After completing the Medaram visit, Revanth Reddy then departed for Davos. There, he will attend meetings as part of an investment outreach programme. Through this visit, the government aims to attract global investments to Telangana.
