HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured medical and financial assistance to Gulla Rakesh, a young man suffering from a severe muscle disorder. The CM directed officials to provide free treatment and a charging vehicle to support his mobility needs.
Rakesh, a resident of Rangayya Palli village in Bhimadevarapalli mandal, Hanumakonda district, has been battling pseudomuscular dystrophy for a prolonged period. His condition has deteriorated, rendering him unable to walk. Doctors have recommended costly injections, which his family is unable to afford due to financial constraints.
After learning about Rakesh’s plight through a news report, CM Revanth Reddy promptly responded and instructed officials to extend necessary support. Following his directions, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Vemula Srinivasulu contacted Rakesh’s family and assured them of government assistance.
Rakesh, currently in his first year of Intermediate studies at a private college in Mulkanur, struggles with daily commuting challenges. To ease his mobility, the government has also committed to providing a charging vehicle to facilitate his travel between home and college.
Expressing gratitude, Rakesh’s parents, Gulla Sammayya and Lakshmi, thanked CM Revanth Reddy for his timely intervention and generous support.
