Hyderabad: An unusual moment of political civility marked the Telangana Assembly’s winter session as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy walked up to BRS president and Leader of Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao, greeted him with folded hands, and exchanged a handshake. KCR, who was seated in the House, stood up to acknowledge the gesture.
The Assembly session began at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. When Revanth approached, BRS MLAs around KCR also joined in greeting the Chief Minister. According to reports, Revanth inquired about KCR’s health and well-being during the brief interaction.
The rare handshake between political rivals, especially after years of public hostility, drew attention both on and off the Assembly floor.
