CM to launch Narmetta factory on March 22; Tummala reviews works

Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao reviewed arrangements for the Narmetta oil palm factory, ahead of its launch by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on March 22.

Tummala held a preparatory meeting at the Secretariat along with Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vakiti Srihari. Officials briefed him on the progress of arrangements for the inauguration.

He directed departments to coordinate closely and ensure smooth execution of the programme. At the same time, he reviewed preparations with APC and Agriculture Secretary Surendra Mohan and other officials.

Tummala reviews works ahead of Narmetta launch

The minister asked officials to complete all arrangements without delay and maintain coordination among departments. He issued instructions to ensure the programme proceeds without lapses.

He also directed authorities to organise a Rythu Mela in Narmetta from March 20 to 22. As part of the plan, stalls will provide useful information to farmers and highlight oil palm cultivation and industry development.

The minister said the event should benefit farmers and promote awareness about oil palm opportunities in the State.

Senior agriculture and allied department officials attended the meeting.
