Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the government designed the CM Cup to identify CM Cup hidden talent from rural Telangana and steer youth towards competitive sports.
He launched the CM’s Cup Games – Agentic AI Call Centre and the “Nilamani” App on Tuesday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat. The Telangana Sports Authority implemented the platforms. State Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy and Managing Director Dr. Soni Baladevi attended the event.
Bhatti Vikramarka said organisers introduced technological upgrades in the second phase of CM Cup 2025–26. He noted that the initiative aimed to promote rural sports and create a player-friendly information system for athletes. According to him, the CM Cup hidden talent mission reflected the government’s broader sports policy.
CM Cup hidden talent drive gains AI support
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Sports Department launched the CM Cup to identify hidden sporting talent in villages. He described the initiative as a strong platform for rural youth.
He added that the government wanted young people and students to move away from harmful habits. Instead, it encouraged them to take part in structured sports activities.
Nearly 4.5 lakh sportspersons participated in competitions at village, mandal, Assembly constituency and district levels. From this pool, officials selected 22,000 athletes for state-level competitions.
Bhatti Vikramarka welcomed the 24/7 AI-enabled call centre introduced under the Nilamani App. He said the system provided real-time information and updates to players participating in the CM Cup hidden talent initiative.
CM Cup hidden talent competitions span 44 disciplines
Officials conducted competitions across 44 sports disciplines in 12 districts. The Deputy Chief Minister said authorities organised the events on a large scale to ensure wider participation.
He expressed confidence that the hidden talent programme would produce outstanding champions in the future. He also wished for the successful completion of the ongoing competitions.
Officials of the Telangana Sports Authority and other departments participated in the programme.
