Hyderabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports Vakiti Srihari invited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to attend the CM Cup 2026 inauguration scheduled for February 20 at Gachibowli Stadium.
Srihari, along with State Sports Authority chairman Shivasena Reddy and Managing Director Sonibala Devi, met the Chief Minister and extended the formal invitation. The state government will organise the CM Cup 2026 as a flagship sports initiative.
The minister said the tournament aims to identify sporting talent among students and youth from villages to cities across Telangana. He added that the government will conduct competitions in 44 disciplines under the event.

Srihari said participation in sports builds competitiveness and improves physical fitness. Therefore, he urged students, young women and youth to take part in the tournament.
He further appealed to students from school to university level to make full use of the opportunity. According to him, the initiative will serve as a platform to bring out hidden talent from across the state.
