HYDERABAD: A clash broke out between Youth Congress and BJP workers in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The altercation occurred when Congress activists attempted to enter the BJP’s state office in protest against controversial remarks made by former BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
The Congress workers were demonstrating against Bidhuri’s comment comparing Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks to Delhi roads. During the protest, stones were allegedly hurled at the BJP office. Physical confrontations ensued as BJP workers attempted to stop the Congress members.
The situation escalated, and reports suggest that sticks were used during the clash. A BJP worker sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident has further heightened tensions between the two political parties, with both sides accusing each other of inciting violence.
