Hyderabad: A car fire on Shadnagar’s main road caused panic when flames erupted suddenly in a moving vehicle. Three youths travelling in the car sensed the danger and stepped out quickly, avoiding serious harm. The blaze began near the library around midnight on Thursday and spread within moments.
Locals said the vehicle belonged to Abdul Hafeez of Farooq Nagar under Shadnagar Municipality. Soon after the flames appeared, residents alerted the police and the fire department.
Emergency crews act swiftly after a car fire
Firefighters reached the spot and brought the car fire under control. They confirmed that the vehicle was completely gutted. Residents also noted that the midnight timing prevented a larger mishap on the usually busy stretch.
Police began an inquiry into the incident and started collecting details from witnesses to determine how the fire started.
