Hyderabad: Panic gripped the Abdullapurmet area after a car caught fire near Ramoji Film City, though timely action prevented injuries and major damage.
According to police, a cab driver dropped passengers at Ramoji Film City and parked the vehicle in the designated parking area. Moments after the driver stepped out, flames erupted from the car.
Local residents noticed the fire and alerted the fire department. Meanwhile, they attempted to control the flames until help arrived.

Fire personnel reached the spot quickly and extinguished the blaze. Officials said a short circuit likely caused the fire, though they will confirm the exact reason after inspection.
Police identified the burnt vehicle as belonging to Venkatesh, a resident of Domalguda. Since the driver exited the car just in time, the incident did not result in casualties.
