HYDERABAD: BRS MLCs staged a protest in the Telangana Legislative Council premises, raising slogans against the state government. The protest took place during the council session, where the MLCs expressed their dissatisfaction with the government’s policies and alleged negligence in addressing public issues.
The MLCs carried placards and banners, voicing their demands. They criticized the ruling party for failing to fulfill promises made to the people and accused the government of being indifferent towards farmers’ concerns, unemployment, and the state’s financial situation.
During the protest, MLCs also raised slogans demanding immediate solutions to the issues faced by various sectors. They alleged that the government was suppressing dissent and not paying attention to the welfare of marginalized communities.
Security personnel were deployed in the premises to prevent any untoward incidents. The council proceedings were briefly disrupted due to the protests. Several opposition leaders supported the BRS MLCs, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in governance.
The protest concluded peacefully, but the BRS leaders warned that they would intensify their agitation if their demands were not met.
