Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders met Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sudarshan Reddy at BRKR Bhavan on Thursday. They filed a complaint against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his alleged remarks on Muslims.
The delegation included Legislative Council Opposition Leader Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary, former MLAs Jeevan Reddy and Mohammad Shakil, and senior BRS leaders Palle Ravi Kumar, Kishore Goud, and Salman Khan. Several minority leaders also joined the group.
BRS leaders meet Telangana CEO over Revanth Reddy’s comments
The BRS team condemned what they described as repeated attacks and provocative remarks against Muslims. Moreover, they urged the Election Commission to take immediate disciplinary action against Revanth Reddy. They also demanded that officials act firmly against those targeting members of the Muslim community.
During the meeting, senior and minority leaders personally handed over separate written complaints to the CEO. Furthermore, they requested the Commission to ensure peace and communal harmony throughout the election process.
Sudarshan Reddy assured the delegation that the matter would receive attention under election norms.
