BRS leader Putta Madhu slams Revanth Reddy, demands cabinet recall

Hyderabad: BRS leader and former MLA Putta Madhu on Tuesday launched a fierce verbal attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He accused the CM of “losing mental balance” and making irresponsible statements. Madhu also demanded the dismissal of the entire Congress cabinet.

At a press meet in Manthani, Madhu said he would request the President to admit the CM to Erragadda Hospital. Mocking Revanth Reddy, he added, “You don’t have brains to match your height.”

BRS leader mocks CM and cabinet

Madhu didn’t hold back in criticising the Congress cabinet. He said they behaved “like drunken monkeys.” He targeted Revanth Reddy over his remarks on the Ellampalli project. Referring to the late Sripada Rao, he pointed out that the project, launched in 2004 and completed in 2016, could not have been overseen by someone who passed away in 1999.

He also responded to Revanth’s jibe about Harish Rao’s height. “If you mock someone for being tall, what should we say about your short stature?” Madhu asked.

Jabs on irrigation projects

Turning to irrigation, Madhu defended the Kaleshwaram project. “The project hasn’t collapsed—your face has,” he said. He slammed the state for allowing lakhs of cusecs of Godavari water to flow into the sea without use.

Madhu urged the government to sensibly manage water from the Annaram and Sundilla barrages. He said proper planning could bring major relief to farmers.
