HYDERABAD, February 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intensifying its preparations for the forthcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections scheduled across seven districts in Telangana. With the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) opting out of the race, the BJP is aiming to secure victories in these constituencies. The party has already announced its candidates, who have filed their nominations, and is conducting regular meetings with district leaders to strategise for the elections.
In addition to the MLC elections, the BJP is also focusing on the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Standing Committee elections. A crucial meeting was held at the BJP office in Hyderabad, presided over by Union Minister and State President *Kishan Reddy*, involving GHMC corporators. Discussions centred on the corporators’ roles in the MLC election campaign and strategies for the GHMC Standing Committee polls. Kishan Reddy provided guidance on the participation of key leaders from across the state in significant party activities within the GHMC jurisdiction. He also emphasised the importance of BJP GHMC corporators focusing on issues affecting the Greater Hyderabad area.
These concerted efforts reflect the BJP’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Telangana through meticulous planning and active involvement in both the MLC and GHMC Standing Committee elections.
