Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka reviewed welfare schemes with agricultural labourers near Rayannapeta village in Khammam district on Sunday.
Vikramarka interacted with the workers on the outskirts of the village in Bonakal mandal. He enquired about the implementation of State government welfare programmes and their impact on beneficiaries.
The interaction took place during his whirlwind tour of the constituency. During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister set aside official protocol and walked into agricultural fields. There, he met women agricultural labourers engaged in farm work and spoke to them about the welfare assistance they received.
The women expressed happiness over the interaction with the Deputy Chief Minister. They also shared their experiences of changes they said the Congress government’s welfare measures had brought to their lives.
Bhatti Vikramarka welfare review focuses on beneficiaries
The agricultural labourers told Vikramarka that government welfare programmes were providing much-needed support to their families. They said schemes implemented by the Indiramma People’s Government had brought positive changes to their lives.
Vikramarka said the Finance Department had regularly released the funds required by the departments concerned. He said the funding ensured effective implementation of welfare programmes provided to the people.
The Bhatti Vikramarka welfare interaction also focused on identifying the needs of people at the grassroots level. According to the Deputy Chief Minister, understanding people’s requirements and addressing their concerns were fundamental responsibilities of the People’s Government.
He said the government also had a responsibility to bring meaningful changes to people’s lives through its welfare measures.
