Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu said the Telangana government had set a target of building a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He made the announcement at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Dr MCR Human Resource Development Institute, marking its 50 years of service.
Bhatti said the Telangana economy target was not limited to improving financial indicators. Instead, economic growth should bring positive changes to the lives of every family.
He stressed that sustainable development required a balance between welfare, financial discipline and environmental protection. Accordingly, the government aimed to extend Hyderabad’s economic and technological progress to towns and villages across Telangana.
The Deputy Chief Minister said creating employment opportunities for young people in their home districts remained a key objective. In addition, he identified comprehensive support for farming families and better living standards for poor households as government priorities.
Telangana economy target linked to public services and employment
Bhatti urged officials to use modern technology to speed up government services. As a result, citizens should not have to make repeated visits to government offices to access public services.
He also called on officials to work with dedication and provide better services to people. For this purpose, he cited the example of S.R. Sankaran, known for his commitment to public service.
Furthermore, Bhatti asked the administration to draw inspiration from Sankaran’s ideals. He stressed that officials must place public service at the centre of their work.
