Hyderabad: Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister Mohammed Azharuddin urged students in Karwan to remain vigilant against narcotics and to report any suspicious drug-related activity to the police. He was addressing a Drug Awareness Programme attended by school and college students on Saturday.
The minister emphasised that a drug-free youth forms the foundation of a strong nation. He stressed the importance of healthy friendships, family support, and mentorship from teachers in helping students build a responsible and purposeful life.
Azharuddin drug awareness Karwan event calls for public support
Minister Azharuddin reiterated the Telangana Government’s resolve under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to eliminate the drug menace. He said public cooperation is vital in the ongoing battle against narcotics.
Senior officials, including Sandeep Shandalia, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau, also participated in the event and interacted with students.
