Hyderabad: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will visit Telangana on October 4, Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said on Friday. Shah will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sabar Dairy Project and inaugurate Amul’s first modern dairy plant in the state.
According to Kishan Reddy, the programme will take place at Urji Industrial Park in Toopran, Medak district. He said the dairy project would strengthen Telangana’s dairy ecosystem and create greater opportunities for farmers.
The plant will initially process five lakh litres of milk a day. In addition, it will produce curd, buttermilk, lassi, paneer and ice cream. Reddy said the facility would also have scope to expand its milk-processing capacity.
The Amit Shah visit will also highlight the Centre’s White Revolution 2.0 initiative. The Ministry of Cooperation launched the programme in September 2024. It aims to expand dairy cooperatives, improve market access for farmers and generate employment.
