Grand passing out parade held for Agniveer batch in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: A grand Agniveer passing out parade was held at the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre in Secunderabad on Wednesday, marking the completion of training for Batch 06/25 under the Agnipath Scheme.

A total of 478 Agniveers completed 31 weeks of basic and advanced military training that began on May 1. The training program, introduced by the Ministry of Defence in June 2022, aims to prepare recruits for frontline military service.

The parade took place at the RU Parade Ground, where the recruits demonstrated marching precision and pledged allegiance as members of the Army Ordnance Corps. The ceremony celebrated their endurance, discipline, and commitment to national service.

Col K. Shaji, the officiating commandant of the AOC Centre, reviewed the parade and addressed the newly inducted Agniveers. He congratulated them on completing their training and encouraged them to uphold the values of courage and service.

He also acknowledged the efforts of instructors in shaping the recruits and expressed gratitude to the families who supported their children’s decision to serve the nation.

The event marked the formal induction of the Agniveers into the Indian Army under the Agnipath recruitment model.
