Hyderabad: Admissions are now open for the six-year BTech program at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar campus, for the 2025–26 academic year.
The university issued the official notice through Professor Venkat Ramana and Director Professor Satish, outlining the program’s structure two years of pre-university education followed by four years of engineering coursework.
This year, RGUKT is offering 1,500 seats. Of those, 85% are reserved for local students from Telangana. The remaining 15% are open to high-performing candidates from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. There’s also a 5% quota for children of Gulf-based NRIs and students from other Indian states, and 2% is set aside exclusively for NRIs.
To be considered, applicants must have cleared their SSC exams in 2025. The age cap is set at 18 years as of December 31, 2025, though students from SC and ST categories can apply up to the age of 21. Admissions are determined by GPA scores from Class 10, with a close look at individual subject grades. Government school students get a 0.4 GPA advantage in the selection process.
Applications are open from June 1 to June 22 and can be submitted online through Telangana Online Centres, MeeSeva, or the university’s website: [www.rgukt.ac.in](http://www.rgukt.ac.in).
Fee structures differ for non-local candidates. Students from other Indian states and children of Gulf-based NRIs will pay ₹1.37 lakh annually. For NRIs, the annual fee is ₹3.01 lakh.
Candidates applying under special categories such as NCC, CAP, sports, or disability will need to have their certificates verified between May 28 and May 31.
In a noteworthy expansion, RGUKT will also add 180 new seats at its Mahbubnagar campus this year.
