Hyderabad: Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Monday appealed to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to provide immediate relief to the Kondagattu fire victims who lost property in a major blaze at the Anjaneyaswamy temple premises in Jagtial district.
Laxman Kumar, who holds the SC, ST, Disabled and Transgender Welfare portfolio, along with Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam, met Revanth Reddy at his residence and submitted a memorandum seeking government assistance for the affected shop owners.
Although the fire, which broke out on Sunday, did not cause any casualties, it destroyed around 30 shops. The stalls were operated by families from lower- and middle-income groups who had leased space from the temple. The estimated loss exceeds ₹1 crore.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the urgent need to support those who lost their livelihood in the incident. He urged the Chief Minister to extend financial help to the families dependent on these businesses.
