Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday conducted raids at the residence of Mahabubnagar transport official Kishan Nayak. ACB raids Kishan Nayak and other locations linked to him over allegations of disproportionate assets.
The ACB initiated the searches after registering a case against the officer for amassing assets beyond his known sources of income. Officials suspect that Kishan Nayak accumulated illegal assets worth nearly ₹100 crore.
ACB raids Kishan Nayak properties across districts
According to ACB officials, teams carried out simultaneous raids at 12 locations. These included Kishan Nayak’s residence and properties linked to his relatives, friends, and alleged benamis.
ACB teams conducted the searches in Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, and Rangareddy districts. During the operation, officials examined documents, cash holdings, and property records.
ACB sources said they received complaints that Kishan Nayak misused his official position while serving in the Transport Department. Based on these inputs, the bureau launched the probe and proceeded with the raids.
Meanwhile, ACB officials said they would share more details after completing the searches. The bureau continues to investigate the alleged disproportionate assets case.
