Hyderabad, February 4: Task Force police in Parkal town seized 41 kg of ganja during a vehicle check on the Parkal-Hanumakonda road. The operation, led by SI Shiva Krishna, resulted in the arrest of two unidentified individuals.
Upon investigation, the suspects were identified as Premanand Das and Soumya Ranjan Raut from Balasore district in Odisha. They were allegedly transporting ganja from Odisha to Mumbai. Police estimated the seized contraband’s market value at ₹10.27 lakh.
Parkal CI Kranti Kumar stated that a case had been registered, and further investigation was underway to uncover the larger network involved in the smuggling operation.
