12 people rescued from Medak checkdam overflow by Narsapur fire crew

Hyderabad: Fire and rescue teams from Narsapur quickly responded to a flood emergency at Peddashivnoor village in Chegunta mandal, Medak district. The call came after 12 people became stranded when a checkdam suddenly overflowed.

The incident took place near the Pedda Shivnoor checkdam, where rising water levels blocked people from returning to safety. The Narsapur fire crew reached the spot without delay and rescued all 12 individuals. No injuries were reported.

Officials confirmed that heavy rain upstream caused the overflow. Firefighters used ropes and safety gear to bring the stranded group across the flooded area.
