Hyderabad: A woman water warrior received appreciation from Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director Ashok Reddy for reusing wastewater from her household RO filter.
She collected the discarded water in a bucket and used it for washing utensils and mopping floors. Her practice drew the attention of the HMWSSB chief, who shared a photograph of her efforts.
Water conservation through household reuse
Ashok Reddy praised the woman for making effective use of water that would otherwise go to waste. He said responsible use of available water was essential and that small household practices could support conservation efforts.
The HMWSSB Managing Director urged citizens to adopt similar measures and take part in the campaign to save water. He encouraged households to reuse wastewater wherever possible instead of allowing it to go unused.
