Hyderabad: A woman in Wanaparthy district killed her husband with her family’s help after enduring years of domestic harassment. The murder occurred in Chennaram village under Revally mandal. DSP Venkateshwar Rao announced the details during a press conference.
Wife kills husband in Wanaparthy after being driven out
Narasimha, a resident of Annavaram village in Pangal mandal, had married Shivalila from Chennaram. He regularly harassed her after getting drunk. Around twenty days ago, he demanded money for liquor. When she refused, he seized her Aadhaar and employee ID cards, then forced her out of the house.
That night, she slept outside in the open. The next morning, her brother Lokesh reached Chennaram and took her and her daughter Deepthi back home. Consequently, tensions between the couple grew further.
The family planned the murder during Dasara
During the Dasara festival, Shivalila’s brothers—Sasikiran, Gangadhar, and Lokesh—returned from Hyderabad. She narrated her ordeal to them. As a result, the siblings and their mother decided to end Narasimha’s abuse permanently by luring him home and killing him.
On October 3, around 10 p.m., all five met in Chennaram and drank liquor together. Soon after, they began their assault. They threw chilli powder into Narasimha’s eyes, hit him repeatedly with a broomstick and a dumbbell, and continued beating him until he collapsed and died. Eventually, they left the body at the scene.
Police arrest five accused in Wanaparthy murder
After learning about the murder, Narasimha’s father approached the police. The police quickly began an investigation and soon arrested Shivalila, her mother, and her three brothers. They admitted to their involvement during questioning. The officers then produced all five before the court and sent them to judicial remand.
DSP Venkateshwar Rao later praised CI Krishnayya, SI Rajitha, and constables Nagesh, Chandrasekhar, Moulana, Anjaneyulu, Ramakrishna, and woman constable Sushmala for their quick action and teamwork.
