Hyderabad: BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao said the Union Budget had turned the Viksit Bharat vision into a clear and workable roadmap for national growth.
Reacting to the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, he said the proposals would push India forward on a development-led path. According to him, Telangana would benefit directly from several measures.
In particular, Ramchander Rao described the announcement of high-speed rail corridors for Hyderabad as a major boost. As a result, he said, the city’s role as a national growth engine would strengthen further.
Union Budget strengthens growth and self-reliance agenda
Calling it a transformative budget, he said it laid a strong foundation for long-term progress. Moreover, he said it marked a shift from welfare dependence to sustainable development.
With an Atmanirbhar Bharat focus, he said the budget would boost domestic manufacturing. At the same time, it would strengthen energy security and reduce import dependence.
He also said the proposals focused on job creation and higher agricultural productivity. In addition, he noted that purchasing power would rise across sections.
Referring to policy continuity, Ramchander Rao said India continued to grow at nearly 7 per cent. Consequently, he added, the country had made historic progress in poverty reduction.
He said the budget aligned with welfare for the ` and prosperity for farmers. It also supported women’s empowerment and youth aspirations.
