Hyderabad, January 29: Authorities from the Defence Estates Office and the Secunderabad Cantonment Board carried out a demolition drive against illegal constructions on defence land in Bowenpally. The operation focused on nearly three acres of encroached land.
As part of the action, officials demolished unauthorized structures within a B3-category bungalow belonging to the Defence Ministry. A privately owned building of the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy, which had been constructed on defence land, was also brought down.
Additionally, a cable wire storage facility located on the encroached property was demolished. The drive was conducted by Defence Estates officials in coordination with the Cantonment Board engineers.
Authorities have reiterated that strict action will be taken against any unauthorized occupation of defence land in the area.
