Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police deported a Ugandan national on charges of overstaying in India and suspected involvement in drug trafficking. The Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) detained 27-year-old Juliana Victor Nabitaka in Tolichowki after she failed to produce valid visa documentation.
Following her detention, police coordinated with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), which blacklisted her. Authorities deported her to Uganda via Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on December 21, 2025.
City police cite national security concerns
Officials said the action was based on credible intelligence and taken in the interest of national security. They added that it forms part of ongoing efforts to rid Hyderabad of narcotics-related activities.
The city police reiterated their commitment to keeping Hyderabad drug-free and warned that action against overstaying foreign nationals involved in criminal activity would continue without compromise.
