Hyderabad: Two youths were killed after a speeding car overturned and crashed into an electric pole in Khammam’s YSR Colony on Thursday, plunging the locality into grief.
The accident occurred when four young men from the colony were travelling in a car at high speed. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and crash violently into a roadside electric pole. The impact crushed the car, killing 22-year-old Domala Madhu on the spot due to severe injuries.
Locals rushed to the scene and immediately shifted the remaining three injured men to Khammam Government Hospital. However, one of them, Kota Madhu, succumbed during treatment.
The two other passengers are receiving emergency medical care and remain in critical condition. All the victims are residents of the same neighbourhood, intensifying the sorrow across YSR Colony. Families, who were preparing for festive celebrations, were left shattered by the sudden deaths.
