TRAI ID Test reveals mobile network quality in Hyderabad–Nizamabad corridor

Hyderabad: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released findings from its Independent Drive Test (IDT) for the Andhra Pradesh Licensed Service Area. The July 2025 TRAI ID Test evaluated mobile network quality along the Hyderabad–Nizamabad NH and in Nizamabad City.

Teams tested 162.6 km of highway routes, 404.9 km inside the city, one km of walk tests, and six hotspots. Evaluations covered 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services across Airtel, BSNL, Jio, and Vodafone Idea.

TRAI ID Test results show strong call success rates, gaps in call drops

The results showed call setup success above 97% for all operators. Jio led at 99.62%, while BSNL stood lowest at 97.18%. Drop call rate was 0% for Airtel and Jio, 0.76% for Vodafone Idea, and 5.61% for BSNL.

Key areas tested included Kamareddy, Masaipet, Armur, Nandipet, and Mubarak Nagar, with hotspots like Kamareddy bus stand, Nizamabad collector office, and Venu Mall also covered.
