Traffic curbs, diversions announced for Kite & Sweet Festival in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions will be in effect from January 13 to 15 around Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, due to the International Kite and Sweet Festival.

The Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate urged the public to avoid roads near Parade Grounds between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Police may close the stretch between CTO X Road and Tivoli X Roads depending on the situation.

Heavy traffic is likely at several key points. These include CTO Junction, Plaza Junction, Tivoli, Picket, Secunderabad Club, NCC, YMCA, SBI Junctions, Balamrai, Brookbond, Tadbund X Roads, and Masthan Café. Passengers heading to Secunderabad Railway Station or Jubilee Bus Station should start early. Authorities recommend using Metro Rail to avoid delays.

Kite & Sweet Festival prompts route changes and parking shifts

Officials have arranged parking at multiple sites. VIPs and organizers can use designated zones inside Parade Ground gates. General public parking is available at Gymkhana Grounds, Sports Authority grounds, and Dhobighat. A shuttle will run from Dhobighat to East Gate No. 11.

Pedestrians can enter the venue through West Gate-1 or East Gate No. 11. Commuters using Ola, Uber, or Rapido should go to the pick-up/drop-off points near Paradise Metro, Tivoli Junction, SBI, or Sweekar Upakar Junction.
