Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud submitted a preliminary report to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on factional disputes in Telangana Congress.

The report detailed internal differences involving ministers, MLAs and other senior party leaders. It also identified constituencies and districts where competing groups were engaged in struggles for local dominance.

Among the major disputes, Goud highlighted differences between Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and MLA Lakshmikanta Rao. He also brought Congress MLA Y. Anirudh Reddy’s controversial remarks to the attention of the party high command.

Additionally, the TPCC president briefed the AICC leadership on recent statements by MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy and growing differences among Congress leaders in Peddapalli district.

Report on factional disputes in Telangana Congress identifies sensitive areas

As part of efforts to address factional disputes in Telangana Congress, Mahesh Kumar Goud identified sensitive constituencies and districts where internal rivalries had intensified. Meanwhile, a meeting arranged in Delhi to resolve differences between Damodar Rajanarsimha and Lakshmikanta Rao was postponed.

The meeting was intended to bring the two leaders together for reconciliation. However, Rajanarsimha could not attend because of a scheduled Cabinet meeting on Thursday. The postponement delayed the proposed discussions between the minister and the MLA.

Peddapalli rift reaches TPCC leadership

Meanwhile, the internal dispute involving Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu reached Gandhi Bhavan. The differences between the two Congress leaders formed part of the wider factional disputes in Telangana Congress highlighted before the AICC leadership.

The TPCC leadership took up mediation efforts to address the differences between Vamsi Krishna and Sridhar Babu. Mahesh Kumar Goud’s preliminary report also covered the broader internal disagreements affecting the party’s state unit.
