Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday expressed confidence that Congress candidate Naveen Yadav would secure a landslide victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He predicted a winning margin of 30,000 to 50,000 votes, dismissing rival campaign narratives as deceptive and disconnected from public sentiment.
Speaking to the media in Yousufguda, Goud said voters were rejecting what he called “false surveys” aired by certain news channels. He accused the BRS of engineering these polls to create confusion. “The people will compare ten years of BRS misrule with two years of Congress-led development and vote accordingly,” he said.
Congress win in Jubilee Hills inevitable, says TPCC chief
He further alleged that BJP leader Kishan Reddy and BRS working president KT Rama Rao had effectively undermined BJP nominee Deepak Reddy. “A vote for BRS or BJP in Jubilee Hills is no different from pressing NOTA,” he said.
Highlighting local outreach, Goud claimed that Congress had distributed 15,000 ration cards in the constituency. He said Naveen Yadav had a strong understanding of local issues and enjoyed broad public trust. “BRS and BJP cannot sway voters with their false narratives and theatrics,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao, and Vakkati Srihari also joined the media conference to support Yadav’s campaign.
