TPCC chief hits back at KTR, accuses BRS of dynastic corruption

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday hit back at BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for his remarks against the All India Congress Committee (AICC). He accused KTR of deflecting from his own family’s corruption record.

Responding to KTR’s “All India Corruption Committee” comment, Mahesh Kumar Goud said, “Before preaching morality, KTR should read the corruption log of his own family.” He likened KTR’s remarks to “a fox talking about honesty,” and alleged that the Kalvakuntla family is linked to multiple major scams.

The TPCC leader named the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project as India’s “most expensive and most corrupt” public work. He also listed alleged scandals tied to the family including Formula E, liquor tenders, and land deals. “Every major scam in Telangana carries the Kalvakuntla family’s fingerprints,” he said.

Referring to a past interview of KTR’s sister, Goud questioned the family’s sudden wealth. “The people of Telangana know it’s corruption not merit that built your empire,” he said.

He further accused the BRS of betraying marginalised communities. “Your government created roadblocks for BC reservations. You failed the very people who built this state,” he added.

Congress defends legacy, brands BRS a scam syndicate

Mahesh Kumar Goud said KTR had no stature to even mention Rahul Gandhi or Mallikarjun Kharge. “They represent sacrifice, integrity, and public service. Your family represents arrogance,” he said.

He reminded KTR that the Congress had not only given political birth to K. Chandrashekar Rao but had also created the state of Telangana. “Today, we are cleaning up the mess your dynasty left behind,” he said.

According to Goud, BRS now stands not for Bharat Rashtra Samithi, but for “Bhrashtachar Rakshana Samithi”—a syndicate created to protect scams and family greed.

“The people have seen through your mask,” he concluded. “Telangana will soon write your political obituary.”
