Police crack Thipparam murder case in Siddipet district; six arrested including minors

Hyderabad: Kukunoorpally police in Siddipet district cracked the Thipparam murder case and arrested six people, including two minors, on Wednesday. Officials said the accused were involved in killing a local man, Sindhu Mahender, after a domestic dispute turned violent.

Gajwel ACP K. Narsimhulu, along with Kukunoorpally CI Latheef and SI P. Srinivas, briefed the media about the case. They said Mahender (39), a resident of Thipparam village, had become addicted to alcohol and often quarreled with his wife Sindhu Santhoshi and sons after drinking.

On October 4, Mahender returned home drunk and argued with his wife. During the quarrel, Santhoshi and her sons struck him on the head with a stick, leaving him injured. Later that night, he again consumed liquor and fell unconscious at home.

Family plotted murder after years of domestic conflict

Police said Santhoshi, frustrated by constant fights, decided to kill Mahender with the help of her brothers Sindhu Babu and Sindhu Machagiri Swamy, their relative Muddapuram Yellayya, and her two sons.

That night, the group took the unconscious Mahender in an auto to a stream near Thipparam. They tied his legs with towels, his hands with a coconut rope, and attached stones to his waist. He was still breathing when they threw him from the bridge into the stream, police said.

Police identify body and arrest accused within three days

On October 6, locals spotted an unidentified body in the stream. Police recovered it and later identified the deceased as Mahender using his Aadhaar card. They registered a murder case and began the investigation.

Based on leads, police arrested Santhoshi and the others on October 7. During questioning, all six confessed to the crime. Police also seized the auto and a TVS XL vehicle used in the offence. ACP Narsimhulu praised CI Lateef, SI Srinivas, and the constables for solving the case swiftly.
