Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will operate 2,243 special buses to assist devotees travelling to key Shaiva temples across the state during Maha Shivaratri.
The special services will run from February 14 to 16 and are aimed at meeting high travel demand during the festival. TGSRTC will operate 781 buses to Srisailam, 416 to Vemulawada, 249 to Edupayala, 326 to Keesaragutta, and 71 to Kaleshwaram.

In addition to these, buses will also serve other major shrines such as Komuravelli, Alampur, Umamaheshwaram, Palakurthi, and Ramappa.
Officials said that only the special buses will have revised fares, which may go up to 1.5 times the standard rates. Regular buses will continue to operate at normal fares. The free bus travel scheme for women under the state government’s initiative will remain valid on all services.
