Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will soon allow passengers to book bus tickets directly through Google Maps. The new service aims to make ticket booking and fare payment faster and easier.
TGSRTC bus ticket booking to link with Google Maps
At present, passengers book tickets either on the TGSRTC website or at bus station counters. The corporation now plans to connect its system with Google Maps. Through this, users can check available buses, pick routes, and reserve seats from their mobile phones.
Once the feature goes live, a passenger can open Google Maps, enter the destination, choose a bus, and pay online. The e-ticket will appear on the mobile screen instantly.
The facility is suitable for all types of buses
TGSRTC also plans to extend the option to both reserved and non-reserved services. Passengers may soon buy tickets on the go without standing in queues. Officials said the move will improve convenience and promote digital payments.
