Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has launched a major inspection drive to improve the performance of junior colleges across the state. The Inter board announced that inspections will continue until November 15.
Telangana Inter Board inspections target 1,752 junior colleges
Officials said the drive covers 1,752 government and private junior colleges. The goal is to ensure compliance with academic and administrative standards. Special Officers, Deputy Secretaries, and District Intermediate Education Officers (DIEOs) will visit colleges within their respective jurisdictions and submit detailed inspection reports to the board after completion.
Focus on academic and administrative compliance
Inspectors will check whether private colleges hold valid affiliation and whether student data entries are properly maintained. They will also verify if government colleges are conducting coaching classes, following uniform timetables, and completing the prescribed syllabus. Attendance records of students will form a key part of the review.
With just over two months left for the Intermediate examinations, officials will assess how far each college has progressed with syllabus completion. Based on the findings, the board plans to prepare an action plan to improve academic standards before the exams.
