TGPSC mandates OTR updation ahead of new recruitment notifications

Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission made the one-time registration update mandatory for all registered candidates.

The decision came ahead of the issue of new recruitment notifications on Monday. The Commission said it had completed the selection process for all pending recruitments.

TGPSC said it was preparing to release fresh notifications shortly. In this context, it decided to update and validate candidate data in the OTR system.

Officials said the exercise considered the recent Scheduled Castes categorisation. It also factored in changes in educational qualifications and requests for correction of personal details.

At present, around 31.56 lakh candidates are registered in the OTR system.

TGPSC OTR updation mandatory for future recruitments

The Commission clarified that it would process all future recruitment notifications strictly based on OTR data. It said online applications, results, and final selections would also rely on the same data.

Officials warned that incorrect or incomplete information could lead to delays. Such discrepancies may also result in disqualification at later stages.

As part of the process, candidates must verify personal, educational, and category details. They must update all eligible and additional qualifications.

Candidates must also upload relevant certificates. The Commission said uploading a latest colour passport-size photograph was mandatory.

TGPSC opened the OTR updation window from January 19, 2026, to February 9, 2026. Candidates can complete the process through the official website www.tgpsc.gov.in
.

According to the Commission, the initiative aims to speed up recruitment processes. It also seeks early declaration of results and timely issue of appointment orders.

The Commission said the exercise would help avoid delays caused by data errors and incomplete documentation.
