Hyderabad: The GHMC Standing Committee approved the renaming of Telugu Thalli Flyover as Telangana Thalli Flyover. The flyover connects Lower Tank Bund with the Secretariat. The decision came during the committee’s meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting, chaired by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi at the GHMC head office in Khairatabad, cleared 14 agenda items and 10 table items. Commissioner R.V. Karnan, additional commissioners, and standing committee members attended the session. The committee also gave deputy commissioners the authority to issue trade board and advertisement licenses.
GHMC clears key civic projects worth crores
Officials sanctioned land acquisition of 52 properties for road widening at RK Puram to build an ROB and RUB under the HCT project. They also approved tenders worth ₹2.95 crore for a box drain in Alwal Circle and sanctioned the same amount for rebuilding London Bridge in Yakutpura SRT Colony.
The committee cleared ₹4.85 crore for modernising the football ground at Mallepally. It also approved the construction of a box drain from Nagole Lake to the SNDP Drain at a cost of ₹2.98 crore.
