Hyderabad: A young man from Mancherial district has issued a desperate plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to rescue him from alleged abuse by his employer in Kuwait.
The youth, identified as Shantayya of Rampur village in Jannaram mandal, said in a video message circulating widely on social media that he was being forced to work around the clock without pay and food. The message has triggered concern among migrant worker advocacy groups and the youth’s family, who are urging the authorities to act swiftly.
Shantayya recently travelled to Kuwait for employment, but alleges his employer has subjected him to sustained exploitation. In the video, he describes being denied basic needs and compelled to work under harsh conditions. He appealed directly to the Indian government for repatriation.
Family members of Shantayya have approached local officials and urged both the State and Central governments to initiate immediate steps to bring him back safely.
