Hyderabad: Winter gripped Telangana as minimum temperatures dropped sharply across many districts. The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS) reported that Rudrangi in Rajanna Sircilla recorded the lowest temperature of 10.2°C on Monday morning.
Telangana winter temperature dips further
In the GHMC area, BHEL Factory in Sangareddy registered 13.4°C. The average minimum temperature across the state was 18.2°C, according to TGDPS.
The coldest temperature ever recorded in Telangana was 7°C at Moinabad in Rangareddy district on November 20, 2016.
IMD predicts colder nights ahead
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said minimum temperatures may stay 3–4°C below normal for the next few days. As a result, the winter chill is likely to intensify.
People in northern and central Telangana woke up to fog and cold winds. The IMD advised residents to wear warm clothing and take precautions, especially during the early morning hours.
