Telangana transfers 45 IAS officers in major reshuffle

Hyderabad: The Telangana government transferred 45 IAS officers in a sweeping administrative reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities across key departments and districts.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao issued the orders, and consequently initiated changes from the Secretariat to district Collectorates. The IAS officers transferred include senior secretaries, power utility heads and several district collectors.

Sanjay Kumar moved from Industries and Commerce to Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. Meanwhile, N. Sridhar shifted from Panchayat Raj to IT and Industries as Principal Secretary and will continue to oversee Mines and Geology.

Rahul Bojja moved from Irrigation to General Administration (Political) as Principal Secretary. In addition, he will handle BC Welfare. Gaurav Uppal shifted from Finance and Planning to Managing Director of TGMSIDC. Similarly, Musharraf Ali Faruqui moved from TGSPDCL CMD to head the proposed third DISCOM, while Jitesh V. Patil will now lead TGSPDCL.

District collectors among IAS officers transferred

B. Vijiyendra moved from Mahabubnagar Collector to Secretary of TGSWREIS and SC Development Commissioner. At the same time, Divya Devarajan will continue as SERP CEO and take additional charge as State Nodal Officer for Prajavani.

Advait Kumar Singh left Mahabubabad and will serve as Special Secretary, Coordination (GoI Projects, CSS) at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi. Likewise, M. Hanumantha Rao moved from Yadadri Bhuvanagiri to head the Endowments Department and will also supervise Godavari Pushkaralu.

Sikta Patnaik shifted from Narayanpet to Finance as Special Secretary. Meanwhile, Sandeep Kumar Jha will take charge as Jangaon Collector, and Pamela Satpathy moved from Karimnagar to serve as Special Commissioner of Labour.

Anurag Jayanti will assume charge as Yadadri Bhuvanagiri Collector. Rahul Raj moved from Medak to serve as Special Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Additionally, Bhavesh Mishra stepped up as Special Secretary in the IT Department.

Rizwan Basha Shaik will serve as Jogulamba Gadwal Collector. Santosh BM, however, moved to Tribal Welfare as Director. Prateek Jain took charge in Narayanpet, while Sneha Sabareesh moved to Mahabubabad.

Chaitra Mishra will head Karimnagar district. Garima Agrawal will serve in Rajanna Sircilla. Deepak Tiwari, Pratima Singh, Ankit and Kashboo Gupta will oversee Vikarabad, Medak, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mahabubnagar respectively.

Chahat Bajpai will handle additional duties as Hanumakonda Collector and GWMC Commissioner. Further, K. Vidyasagar will serve as Additional CEO in the Industry and Investment Cell, and M. Surender will act as Additional Nodal Officer for Prajavani.

With these changes, the government completed one of the largest recent rounds of IAS officers transferred in the State.
