Telangana orders probe into Miss England’s allegations at Miss World event

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has ordered a high-level probe into allegations made by Miss England Milla Magee, who withdrew from the Miss World competition currently underway in Hyderabad.

The move follows serious concerns raised by Magee regarding her experience during the event. Responding swiftly, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has tasked senior IPS officers Shekha Goel, Rama Rajeshwari, and Cyberabad DCP Sai Sri with leading the inquiry.

According to sources, the government is taking the matter as one of prestige and reputation, not just for Telangana, but for the entire country. As such, CM Revanth is reportedly monitoring the investigation’s progress closely and receiving regular updates.

Authorities have begun recording statements from other contestants as well to ascertain whether any lapses occurred in the event’s organisation or if participants faced any form of discomfort. These testimonies are being documented via video for accountability.

The investigation also extends to a particular dinner event attended by Gagen. Officials are scrutinising the guest list, seating arrangements, and the sequence of events from that evening to piece together a full picture of what transpired.

Miss World CEO Julia Morley, Tourism Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and senior organisers have been directed to gather all relevant details. Once the inquiry is complete, the appointed officers are expected to submit a comprehensive report to the state government.
