Telangana phone tapping case: Telangana moves Supreme Court to cancel Prabhakar Rao’s bail
The Telangana government filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking to cancel the anticipatory bail of former Intelligence Chief Prabhakar Rao. A bench of Justice B.V. Nagarathna and Justice Mahadevan heard the matter.
During the hearing, Tushar Mehta stated that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) completed its analysis and submitted the report. He said experts recovered vital digital data from forensic platforms, strengthening the case against those involved.
Supreme Court adjourns hearing to October 14
After listening to both sides, the bench postponed the next hearing to October 14. In an earlier session, government counsel complained that Prabhakar Rao refused to cooperate with investigators. The bench then directed him to assist the probe without delay.
