Telangana officer Harsha Bhargavi humiliated at CM Revanth Reddy’s Delhi residence

Hyderabad: Telangana officer Harsha Bhargavi faced humiliation at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Delhi residence on Sunday. The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Assistant Director went there to meet the Chief Minister, but his staff blocked her at the gate.

Bhargavi introduced herself as a public relations officer and showed her ID card. Still, the staff refused to let her enter. Eyewitnesses said she broke into tears when her explanation failed to move the officials at the entrance.

Police personnel outside the residence told her they did not know who she was. They warned that she would face arrest if she remained near the gate. Orders reportedly came from inside to send her away.

Bhargavi recently took charge as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) in the state’s public relations department. She said she went to pay a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister but ended up being insulted in public.

Media representatives intervened and prevented her arrest

As tension grew, Telangana media representatives reached the spot. They informed the police that Bhargavi was a government officer. Their timely intervention prevented her arrest and diffused the confrontation.

The incident triggered sharp criticism in administrative circles. Senior officials questioned the security protocol at the Chief Minister’s residence and demanded an internal review.
