HYDERABAD: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Telangana MLC election from the Hyderabad Local Authorities’ Constituency, as the term of sitting MLC M.S. Prabhakar Rao will end on May 1, 2025.
According to the Telangana MLC election schedule released on Sunday, the notification will be issued on March 28, 2025. The same day will mark the beginning of the nomination process. Candidates can file their nominations until April 4, and the scrutiny of nominations will be conducted on April 7. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 9.
Polling for the Telangana MLC election will be held on April 23 (Wednesday) between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The counting of votes is scheduled for April 25, and the entire election process will conclude by April 29, 2025.
The Election Commission has also advised all stakeholders to strictly follow COVID-19 guidelines throughout the election process.
