Hyderabad: Telangana Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu has invited Taiwanese industrialists to invest in the state’s expanding textile sector, spotlighting the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) as a transformative project with unmatched infrastructure.
Addressing a visiting delegation from the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) led by President Justin Huang, the Minister said Telangana has outpaced several Indian states in industrial growth, with textiles playing a key role. The Gross State Value Added from industries for 2024–25 has reached ₹2.77 lakh crore.
The KMTP, offering integrated facilities from ginning to garmenting, has already attracted firms like Youngone, Kitex, and Ganesha Ecosphere. The park’s connectivity to the Hyderabad–Nagpur–Vijayawada corridor and superior logistics infrastructure make it an ideal base for textile manufacturing, he said.
Sridhar Babu pointed to emerging areas such as functional textiles, eco-friendly dyeing, and recycling as ripe for Taiwanese investment. He proposed establishing a Telangana–Taiwan Manufacturing Zone and exclusive Textile Clusters if investor interest grows.

He also highlighted Telangana’s advantages: tailored land allocation, plug-and-play units, a skilled workforce, political stability, and an industrial policy favouring international collaboration.
The meeting was attended by senior state officials and representatives of top Taiwanese firms including Tainan Enterprise, Lily Group, Alchemy Taiwan, Sing Young Ho, Far Eastern New Century, Little King Global, and You-Bong Enterprise.
